ForgeLight is designed with privacy as the foundation. Unlike cloud-based AI services that upload your data to remote servers, ForgeLight processes everything locally on your iPhone using Apple's Neural Engine.

This privacy policy explains our data practices in detail, but the core principle is simple: we don't collect, store, or have access to any of your creative work or personal information.

ForgeLight does not collect any personal data including but not limited to:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Photos from your device or camera roll
• Contacts, calendar, or other personal information

Creative Content: None

We do not collect or have access to:

• Text prompts you enter
• Images generated by the app
• Art styles or preferences you choose
• How often you use the app
• What features you use most

Usage Analytics: None

Unlike most apps, ForgeLight does not collect:

• App usage statistics or analytics
• Crash reports or error logs
• Performance metrics
• Feature usage data
• Session duration or frequency

Apple's Neural Engine

ForgeLight uses Apple's Neural Engine, a specialized chip designed for machine learning tasks. This enables us to run sophisticated AI models directly on your iPhone without requiring internet connectivity or cloud processing.

The Technical Process

1. You enter a prompt - Text stays in the app's local memory
2. Neural Engine processes - AI model runs locally on your device
3. Image is generated - Created directly in your device's memory
4. You save or share - Image goes to your Photos app or share destination

At no point in this process does any data leave your device or get transmitted to external servers.

Privacy Benefits

What Apple Collects

When you download ForgeLight or purchase a subscription, Apple (not us) may collect:

• App download and update information
• Subscription status and billing information
• Basic app performance metrics (crashes, launch times)
• App Store review and rating data

What We Receive from Apple

Apple provides us with minimal, anonymized data:

• Total number of downloads (no individual identification)
• Subscription revenue totals (no customer details)
• Aggregated crash reports (no personal information)
• App Store review content (public information)

Important: We never receive your Apple ID, payment information, or any data that could identify you personally. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple according to their privacy policy.

Subscription Privacy

Your subscription is managed entirely through your Apple ID:

• We don't store your payment information
• We don't know your billing address or payment method
• We can't see your purchase history
• Subscription management happens in iOS Settings, not our app

None Used

ForgeLight does not integrate with any third-party services, including:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks or tracking pixels
• Social media platforms or sharing services
• Cloud storage or backup services
• Customer support or chat services
• A/B testing or experimentation platforms

Apple Services Only

The only external services ForgeLight interacts with are Apple's built-in iOS services:

• App Store: For downloads and subscription management
• Photos app: When you choose to save generated images
• Share Sheet: When you share images to other apps
• Neural Engine: For on-device AI processing

These interactions are governed by Apple's privacy policies and happen entirely within the iOS ecosystem on your device.

Security by Architecture

The most secure data is data that doesn't exist on servers. ForgeLight's on-device architecture provides inherent security benefits:

• No servers to hack: Your data never leaves your device
• No databases to breach: We don't store user data
• No network transmission: Nothing to intercept
• iOS security: Protected by Apple's device security

Device-Level Protection

Your data is protected by iOS security features:

• App Sandbox: ForgeLight can only access its own data
• Encryption: All device storage is encrypted by default
• Secure Enclave: Biometric authentication protection
• App Transport Security: Secure connections when needed

What This Means for You

Complete Data Control

Since all your data stays on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: All your data is in the app on your device
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all data
• Portability: Export images to Photos or other apps
• Correction: Edit or regenerate as needed

No Data Requests Needed

Unlike services that collect your data, you don't need to:

• Request access to your data (it's already on your device)
• Ask for data deletion (just delete the app)
• Request data portability (export directly from the app)
• Opt out of data collection (we don't collect any)

Regional Privacy Laws

ForgeLight complies with privacy regulations worldwide by design:

• GDPR (Europe): No personal data processing
• CCPA (California): No personal information sale or sharing
• PIPEDA (Canada): No personal information collection
• Other jurisdictions: Compliant by not collecting data

Safe for All Ages

ForgeLight is designed to be safe for users of all ages:

• No data collection: We don't collect data from anyone, including children
• No accounts: No personal information required
• Content filtering: Built-in safety measures for appropriate content
• Parental control: Parents can monitor usage through iOS Screen Time

COPPA Compliance

Since we don't collect any data, there are no special procedures needed for children's accounts.
